I obtained my Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 and was called to the Bar in BC in 1997. I practised with a firm in Prince George, BC, first as an associate and then as a partner. In the spring of 2009 I opened my sole practice as a Lawyer and Mediator, and I have practised on my own since then.
I am a Civil Law Mediator and a member of the Civil Roster of the ADR Institute of BC.
I have been a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia since 2000 and I served for one year on its Board of Governors. I am a former president of the Cariboo Bar Association, and I was a County Coordinator for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia for several years.
I taught the business law course at the College of New Caledonia in the fall of 2001, and was a sessional lecturer at the University of Northern British Columbia, teaching Commerce 300 - Introduction to Business Law, from 2011 to 2016. I was a guest on "Seniors Moments" on CFIS-FM in Prince George on two occasions to discuss legal issues surrounding wills and estates.
I have lived in Prince George since 1986. Before attending law school, I was an Official Court Reporter for 10 years, first in Manitoba and then in Prince George.
